Welcome. Today we are going to look at how to print shipping labels on your QL-1100 label printer
This video will cover multiple models. Even though your machine may not match the model referred to on the screen the overall process will still be the same. (Video covers QL-100NWB as well)
Most prominent shipping service applications format their labels for standard letter size printers, this tutorial will walk you through the process of printing those same labels on a 4” QL label printer.
Before beginning, please verify that Adobe Acrobat Reader is installed on your computer. To download Acrobat Reader from: https://get.adobe.com/reader/
If your shipping label is in a non PDF format, or being printed from a website, you will need to export it to a PDF. Converting to PDF will allow you to crop the label into a correctly formatted size.
With your shipping label open, click on the more options icon, then click on Print. When the print preview opens select the print as a PDF option. Then click Print. Please note that the options may be laid out differently depending on your browser.
When prompted, enter a name for the PDF file, then Click Save. In this example, we have saved the file on the desktop.
Open the PDF label with Adobe Reader. Once the label opens, click “Edit”, then click on “Take a Snapshot”
When the crosshair pointer appears, place it at the upper left corner of the shipping label. Click and hold the left mouse button as you drag it across to the opposite corner, then release the button. Ensure that your selection includes all of the label data with none of the lettering or barcodes cut off.
On the “selected area has been copied” window, click “OK”
Click File, then click Print. When the Print window opens select your label printer. Under the More Options heading, verify that the selected graphic option is selected and then click on “Properties”
Select your label size and landscape orientation. Then click “OK”
Look at the print preview and double check that all shipping information and barcodes are intact, then click “Print”
Your shipping label will now print
Thank you for choosing Brother
