When a mama gets the chance to take a solo adventure in the San Juan Mountains, she takes it!

I grew up in Ouray, Colorado but never knew of this spot until I had already moved away.

Finding secret hot springs and hidden gems in these mountains is something I feel so passionate about. There are so many of them if you are willing to hike and search!

Red Mountain Pass, also known as the Million Dollar Highway, is such a scenic drive full of waterfalls, wildlife, and wilderness. It's the perfect place to go searching for hidden hot springs and hippie dips.

Hot springs are the most rewarding thing to find when hiking (especially while winter hiking). ;)
