"One Million Years B.C." is a prehistoric adventure film from 1966, directed by Don Chaffey and starring Raquel Welch and John Richardson. The movie depicts a fantasy version of prehistoric times, where dinosaurs and humans coexist. The plot revolves around Tumak (played by John Richardson) who is banished from his tribe (the Rock people) to the unforgiving desert due to a violent conflict over food. Despite facing perilous encounters with prehistoric creatures, Tumak manages to survive and eventually collapses on a remote beach. There, he is discovered by Loana and other women from the fair-haired Shell tribe. With the help of some of the men from the tribe, Loana saves Tumak from an Archelon and brings him to their village. Tumak is astonished to find that the Shell tribe is more advanced and civilized than his own. Along the way, the film features groundbreaking stop-motion animation for its depiction of prehistoric creatures, as well as iconic moments of Welch in a fur bikini.
