Sunderland in Summer 1991

A walk with my then cutting edge Canon Video 8 camcorder in the summer of 1991. This is not long before Sunderland became a city.
You can get an idea of, how even then, sections of John Street (opposite Joplings) were totally boarded up, as well as one half of Binns department store.
The Wearmouth bridge was being painted at the time too.
