Unless there’s road access or the option to travel by air, nobody’s going to have a food vlog at this altitude at a remote location like this. Welcome to Ghumante’s second Foodlog, where we take you to Khambachen, at an altitude of 4050m. Our friend Nupu has some very interesting Menus high up in the Himalayas and we wanted to try it for ourselves. And after the three days in Pangpema, surviving on Mushroom soups, noodles and granola bars, this was a royal treat to our taste buds.

We try Kanchenjunga White House’s world famous Sherpa Stew (many international travel magazines have published articles on Nupu’s Sherpa Stew and Menu), the delicious Sherpa Stew and the best Mountain Pizza of all time.

BONUS : When we returned to Ghunsa, Tashi Tenzing Dai was also eager to serve us his signature Potato Veg Mo:mo, and we couldn’t be happier. The veg mo:mo we had at Peaceful Guest House may be the only veg mo:mo we’d ordered twice.
