GUADALAJARA MEXICO - TOUR and VLOG (Centro Histórico, Guachimontones, and Tequila) #travelvlog

Welcome to Guadalajara Mexico, the capital of Jalisco and a region known for Mexico's cultural icons like Mariachi music and tequila. In this vlog, we travel one hour away to the Guachimontones Archeological site to see the unique circular pyramids. Next, we visit the town of Tequila, where the spirit tequila gets its name. We visit the tequila distilleries and learn about the production, as well as taste the finished product.

The entire region is covered in blue agave, which requires 7 years until harvest. The production of tequila dates back to the time of the Aztecs and was expanded during the Spanish arrival.

Next we visit the Centro Histórico in Guadalajara, where archetecture old and new intertwine. We stay at the Doubletree Guadalajara which has an expansive view of the plaza and Catedral de Guadalajara.
