I was wrong, WezTerm is as fast as Ghostty

My terminal emulator journey started back with iTerm, I used iTerm for many years until I tried Alacritty because I wanted to try something different, I used Alacritty for quite a long time and I was pretty happy with it, until I had the need to view images in Neovim, because I was trying to switch my note taking from Obsidian to Neovim. Alacritty does not support images, so I ended up with Kitty, I was pretty happy with Kitty, it allowed me to view images in Neovim, its fast and it really had all I needed, I do not like additional features like tabs, panes, or extra things, because I use tmux to manage my sessions and windows regardless of the terminal emulator I use, this allows me to easily switch between terminal emulators and keep a consistence experience.

So I was really happy with Kitty, but everyone kept telling me to try WezTerm, so I did and I loved it as well, I love the fact that it's configuration is managed in lua, similar to Neovim's configuration, the only complaint I had about WezTerm is that it felt slow, compared to Kitty, but I decided to stick to it.

Then I tried Ghostty, and loved it too, but again, my comparison from Ghostty to WezTerm, was that WezTerm is slow. It turns out it's a setting that can be changed in WezTerm to make it perform better and feel snappier, it's the max_fps = 120 setting, by default it's set to 60

In this video, I demonstrate how changing this setting affects performance, and you'll be able to see it for yourself as I compare WezTerm vs Ghostty after changing this, WezTerm feels just as smooth
