When police in Oregon verified the identity of three Chinese young men in a vehicle, they spotted the backseat boy acting abnormally. Within one minute, he was found guilty of multiple violations: possessing an open alcoholic beverage in the car and underage drinking below the legal age of 21. Officers arrested the trio immediately. After they were placed in the patrol car, deputies discovered 3,000 hidden gift cards in the back seat, suggesting their possible involvement in rampant gift card fraud, which could lead to at least five years in prison. The three Chinese boys have been charged with drunk driving, speeding and underage drinking. The investigation into suspected gift card fraud is still underway.
