The police subdued the man with a gun.(part2/2)

At around 3:45 p.m. on May 7, 2023, in North Charleston, South Carolina, USA, Charleston County Sheriff Irving Kubich was on patrol when he stopped a suspicious vehicle with a very dark tinted window. The driver cooperated with the inspection and provided correct information. However, Sheriff Irving Kubich noticed that the 28-year-old passenger, James Pierce, was behaving strangely. Just then, Police Officer Alexander Hodge arrived to provide support.
When Sheriff Irving Kubich tried to stop Pierce and make him get out of the vehicle, he discovered that the man was carrying a weapon. The two officers quickly took cover for a counterattack. Police Officer Alexander Hodge fired the first shot, hitting Pierce in the knee. Pierce retreated into the vehicle. Sheriff Irving Kubich then shot him through the left front windshield, forcing him out. The two officers attacked him from both sides. Sheriff Irving Kubich circled around and shot Pierce in the head, completing the counterattack. About 10 minutes later, rescue personnel arrived and confirmed that Pierce had died on the spot. He had been shot 7 times, with two of the shots hitting his head. The scene also found his Glock pistol and about 50 9-millimeter caliber bullet casings. Sheriff Irving Kubich was shot 3 times, but fortunately, all were stopped by his bulletproof vest. After being checked and treated at the hospital, he was able to return home smoothly a week later.
