Colorado Hikes - Blue Lakes Trail - Telluride,CO

Today was another special day in the San Juan Mountains. We traveled from Ouray to the Blue Lakes Trail head to do a hike today in Mount Sneffels Wilderness and hiked the next 9.4 miles round trip to 3 beautiful Alpine Lakes. The views were great the entire way up. This hike has some high elevation gain but we both agreed that it was nothing like doing Ice Lakes Basin in Silverton the day before. This hike is great for all skill levels and is very dog friendly, besides a few river crossings that you may want to keep them close depending on how high the water is.

We finished the hike and returned to Ouray where we were staying at the Twin Peaks Hot Springs and Lodge. After finishing some cold ones on the rooftop deck at a local pub called, Goldbelt, we returned to the hotel for some private hot springs and a relaxing rest of our stay.
