10 Reasons The INFJ Appears Cold and Heartless | INFJ Cold Hearted. The INFJ is the rarest personality type and they could also be the most complicated type. There are so many layers underneath them and there are so many underlying pre-contexts to their behavior and actions. One example is them being genuine empaths but somehow always appear cold.

They say that the people who see cold and heartless are actually the ones who used to have the biggest hearts and the one with the most genuine concern it just so happened that in the process of giving their hearts away and being sincerely caring, their hearts too were probably handed over to the wrong people or were left at the wrong places. This is why I had to toughen up and had to be firm in their stands. As an INFJ, they still try their best to strive and to understand people, even if it can get ridiculously hard at times, that’s just part of who they are! But this isn’t true for all, okay? There are some who are just naturally cold but not heartless and some who had to at least appear to be cold. An INFJ could never be heartless although they might think that they are because they are not able to do much to help, but they just can’t and just are not.

There are times when one has to mask their thoughts and emotions in order for them to easily be able to connect to people or just be able to adapt to their surroundings. The INFJ believes there are times when it is better to be kind than to be right but that does not always reflect how they phrase their sentences and does not come off as soft as it is in their tones or how they say things. It is easy to misunderstand a person when we do not know them personally. We might have been victims of being misunderstood ourselves but that just shows that life will never be just about black and white. There will always be gray areas and maybe for an INFJ, trying to sound, appear, and be warm is one of the gray areas they are struggling to make sense of.
