Photochromic lenses are clear indoors or at night, and become dark in sunny conditions.
Visio-Rx carries 2 types of Transitions® brand lenses: Transitions® VI and Transitions® XTRActive. What are the differences?
Transitions® VI lenses are tailored to people who spend more time indoors. XTRActive lenses are made for people who spend the majority of their time outdoors.
When inside, Transitions® VI stay completely clear. Transitions® XTRActive lenses retain a very slight tint.
Behind the wheel of a car, Transitions® VI lenses will remain clear. XTRActive lenses will activate moderately.
In bright sunlight, the difference is easy to see. Transitions® XTRActive lenses get much darker than the Transitions® VI.
Both lenses offer protection from harmful UV rays.
When returning indoors, Transitions® VI lenses will fade back to clear quickly, while XTRActive lenses take a little longer to get back to their lightest tint.
