Break from the Nova: Log Cabin Maintenance, Saving a 6.7 PowerStroke, & 1932 Rat Rod Dreams

Spring has officially hit the Pole Barn, which means it's time to step away from the 1966 Chevy Nova and pretend I enjoy home maintenance. Today we’re power washing the deck and sanding the logs under the critical eye of the Barn Management Team: "The Boss" George Paisley, Cody Barrel, and Alfred Pennyworth. If you’ve ever wanted to watch a man sweat while three massive, fluffy white dogs stare at him with pure disappointment, this is the video for you. They just wanted biscuits.
As For the mechanical side of the channel alive, we also tackle a ticking time bomb: the Bosch CP4 fuel pump on a 2012 F350 6.7 Power Stroke. I break down the infamous European lifter rotation failure that loves to pump metal shavings through your entire fuel system and show our swap to the S&S DCR pump. Huge shoutout to the instructions from S&S and Wade over at Thoroughbred Diesel (www.thoroughbreddiesel.com) for outlining the swap. Finally, we hit the automotive swap meet to hunt for the upcoming 1932 Chevy Rat Rod project. I score a pair of 1930s Ford headlights (planning a stealth modern bulb conversion) and lay out my wild plans for custom tail lights fabricated from 600-horsepower marine engine pistons, Corvette lenses, and V8 piston marker lights.
