Butterfly Art Project on SABC 2, Growing Tomorrow

The Butterfly Art Project has been operating in Vrygrond since 2011, delivering art, art therapy and educational programs to children in need. We grew from a very tiny team working out of a very tiny car to a huge team of mainly volunteers, bursting out of the little classroom offered us by the Capricorn Primary School. We were fortunate to acquire a new building consisting of 3 therapy rooms, an art classroom and a team meeting room. It's hard to imagine how all this once fitted into that small prefab building. Now we aim employ permanent staff who can carry the programmes when volunteers and interns can't be there.
