Capital One Venture X Eliminating Guests at Airport Lounges #travelhacking

I’m Leen with Leen on Travel, and I have some very bad news about changes to our Capital One Venture X lounge access coming in 7 months. I’m so bummed to report that Capital One will be tightening lounge access for authorized users and guests beginning February 1st, 2026.
You will have to pay $45 for each guest you want to bring into Capital One Lounges unless you spend $75,000 on your card in a calendar year! Note that it’s just $25 for kids under 17, with under 2 free). And then for Priority Pass lounges, you’ll have to pay $35 per guest, regardless of age.
One way to kind of get around this, is to add your spouse or kids as an authorized user and pay $125 per year. What’s nice with Capital One is that there is no age requirement for your child to be an authorized user on your credit card. That $125 annual lounge access fee will pay for just 3 Capital One Lounge Visits or 4 Priority Pass visits.
Or of course, just pay $25-$35 for them to get into a lounge. Which I personally think is still worth it considering the cost of airport food. I hope that helps and please, like and subscribe to learn more about the amazing world of travel hacking from Leen on Travel!
