PENNSYLVANIA WILDS RECREATION-Pine Creek Gorge Focus

One in a series of 4 short videos produced for the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry who manages the State's Natural Resources. Pine Creek Gorge, with it's amazing scenery was the location for most of the filming. Videos can be viewed via a touchscreen in the new DCNR Forestry visitor center in the scenic Pine Creek valley near Waterville, PA.

JIm Hyland, Recreational Forester for Pine Creek, provides an overview and arranged for most of filming in Pine Creek. Jim introduced us to Bob Webber, who built and maintained many of the hiking trails in the area. Sadly, Bob passed away in 2015.

Julie Szur, a fly-fishing conservationist, gives an overview of the famous Slate Run Fishery where trophy-sized brook trout are caught and released.

Narrated by Dick Foley, co-founder of The Brother's Four, a well-known folk music group.
