Old Rusty Belt Knife Restoration

Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. Long time ago long ago I was looking for a belt knife for my outdoor adventures. Well, as usual I found this rusty knife at flea market, price was USD $1. First I made decision made something in dark style. I used a rust remover liquid to remove all rusty. Then due to that knife was not hardening I tempered it in my primitive homemade furnace. Further I used a sandpaper to made clean and shiny surface. Next I used citric acid to give a dark color to the knife blade. Then prepared two similar a pieces of copper for knife handle. Finally, I get good sharp knife now I need to buy leather and make a scabbard. Also, I used steel aluminum and brass rivets for knife handle. For impregnation, I used linseed oil.
