This is a reinterpretation of a Persian composition from the album Chehre Be Chehre by Mohammad-Reza Shajarian released in 1977. @behnam_masoumi and I arranged it in 2 days before performing it live at @kmmcchennai and @gi.chennai for the @samuresidency finale concerts. In those two days, we discussed our vision for this song, I learned to pronounce and sing the beautiful Persian lyrics. My best friend’s husband’s friend, @lyricist_navinb from Canada wrote Tamizh lyrics based on my English translation of the lyrics. This is a labor of love for languages + music. So much went into this song that beautifully expresses the pathos in love. To many more such collaborations❤️
