Screening tests are the source of quite a lot of confusion and controversy – mostly as a result of a widespread misunderstanding of exactly how they work and what their limitations are.

This video aims to explain what exactly is a screening test, the major issues surrounding screening tests and the list of criteria that define what a good or acceptable screening test, as described by Wilson and Junger in 1968.
