Will Hanyu be 3xOlympic Champion in 96 Years? | Past and Future | Avengers Trailers 2

In history, only 1 Men had won 3 Olympics (Gillis Grafström - 1920, 1924, 1928). But that was a total different era of Figure Skating. To put it into perspectives, it was before World War II, and World War I had just ended. Very small population, if not, no one really plays this sport as there was hunger everywhere in the world. No one thought this history could be replicated as we had advanced so much, both the world and the sport.

Figure Skating had never been more popular in recent years. In fact, no one, in 66 years history had ever been able to regain their Olympic Title and successfully become Double Olympic Champion in Figure Skating since Dick Button, until Yuzuru Hanyu broke the barriers. It was a huge achievement as Dick Button won the 2 Olympics in 1948 and 1952, when, again, the World War II had just ended. The hunger was still everywhere and the competitions were largely participated only by the North America and European Countries. However, Dick Button did make history in 1952 Olympics by becoming the first skater to land a triple jump—a triple loop (3Lo) jump—in competition.

Hanyu, being the first men who land a Quad Loop (4Lo), is now challenging Quad Axel (4A), which is 4.5 Rotations on ice. No one in history had ever landed it in competition. Will he land it and go for the 3 Olympics Title and replicate the history in 96 years?
