The idea fort his series is simple - I get someone who has a great voice that I've worked with in the past to pick a song. I do a sketch of it and send it to them. They sing to my track and film themselves, and send it back. Then I play one instrument to accompany their vocal and film it. No overdubs allowed. One instrument. One voice.

The first song in this series is done with my friend Ndidi O who splits her time between LA and Vancouver. We made a record together quite a few years ago and have worked on lots of projects together since then. She has an incredible voice and is an incredibly unique interpreter of songs. She picked this Ronettes song, and we had a blast putting it together. My instrument of choice that day was the Weissenborn. With the passing of the great Ronnie Spector yesterday, we thought it would be a good time to put this out there. Enjoy!
