Firstly, we are still experiencing some teething problems with our audio. We have redesigned the studio here and although the audio in this video is suboptimal, we think we've nailed it before the next one going up on Wednesday.

Now, down to business! I'm not crazy about how landscape photography is taught; rules for this, guidelines for that, some process or another that works for somebody else, that is somehow made "law." In landscape photography there are very few, if any absolute truths, so I am looking at composition through new eyes and from a fresh perspective.

It's called consequences, and in this video I start the process with looking at the consequences of arrangements. All the images are from the deserts of Gobi and Sahara, as they are simple graphical photographs.

This series will grow over the next few weeks, as we explore colour, luminosity, contrast, detail, transitions, aspect ratio and much, much more.
