Dr. Wang Huiyao dialogue with Dr. Graham Allison: Sino-US relation is like a seesaw of power

On March 3, CCG hosted a dialogue in partnership with the China Conference of Harvard Kennedy School, featuring CCG President Dr. Wang Huiyao and Founding Dean of the Harvard Kennedy School Dr. Graham Allison, who is best known in China for his notion of “Thucydides Trap” in public debates about US-China competition.

During their discussion, Dr. Allison and Dr. Wang shared their insights about the factors affecting the decision-making of China and the United States, and the possibilities that China and the United States would really "decouple". They also raised suggestions on the potential areas in which the two countries can cooperate despite the ongoing dynamics.
