How Much Do I Earn on YouTube With 2500 Subscribers | May 2020

Are you new to youtube and wondering how much you can earn? Are you on the verge of getting monetized and want to know what to expect? If you’re curious how much I earn on youtube this is the video for you. I am going to peel back the veil and get personal showing you my back end so you can see how much I am making a day, how much I made in my first month, and how much I expect to make this year as youtube becomes my 6th revenue stream.

First of all lets talk about how to get monetized - Youtubes magic formula is that once you have 1000 subscribers, and 4000 hours of watch time in the past 12 month, you are eligible to start monetizing your videos.

Once Monetized your first payment is sent out when you have made $100. But before they pay you, you have to confirm your google adwords account. To confirm your account you have to confirm your bank account, your mailing address which is done with a mailer and pin, and complete your tax information by entering your social security number or tax id number. When that all checks out Youtube will start to pay you. So far I got my 1st payment about 1 week after confirming my account.
Keep in mind that you tube pays you as a sole proprietor/independent contractor, so you will be responsible for reporting your youtube income on your tax returns. If you don’t manage that properly you may get tagged at the end of the year with a tax bill. If you stay to the very end I will give you some tips on how to deal with taxes and how I plan on reducing my tax liability to zero.

Now to answer the title question how much youtube pays me on 2500 subscribers, that number is $120-150/month or around $1500/year. Not bad for doing something I enjoy anyway and would probably do for free. But if looking at youtube as a possible career choice you totally can make bank. You have to structure yourself and approach it like a business and if you do so you could make much more. How so. Well you can do sponsored post, sell items or services, or generate money through affiliate marketing. I’m not going to go into all of that today but maybe I will in a future video.
