3. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Saudi Foreign Minister:
"The hand of Saudi Arabia is still outstretched to Iran and we are eager to find a path to reach normal relations with the neighbour, Iran. And this is fundamentally linked to reaching understandings that will treat the sources of worries of not only the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, but also the rest of the region, with respect to some Iranian activities. The talks that took place so far, I can describe them as positive but have not reached the desired results yet."

5. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Saudi Foreign Minister:
"There was no talk at all of any kind of military or technical cooperation with Israel, I do not know where this news has come from. This was not presented or discussed, not in the summit and not before the summit. As for the Arab NATO, there was no time to discuss that here and in fact, there is no such thing as an Arab NATO, and that has not been raised. The Saudi kingdom did propose five years ago the idea of creating a common Arab defence organisation where the level of Arab coordination on security and defence would be raised. And this was not a point of discussion during this summit."
6. Press conference
7. SOUNDBITE (English) Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Saudi Foreign Minister:
"No, this has nothing to do with diplomatic ties with Israel. The issue of overflights is a decision we took based on our commitments under the Chicago protocols and also in the interest of providing connectivity between countries in the world. And we hope that it will make some travellers' lives easier. It's not in any way precursor to any further steps."
8. Press conference
9.SOUNDBITE (English) Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Saudi Foreign Minister:
"So oil production specifically was not discussed at this summit. It was not really a subject for this summit. Obviously OPEC+ has responded recently to market conditions and they will continue to assess market conditions going forward."
10. Press conference
11. SOUNDBITE (Arabic) Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Saudi Foreign Minister:
"From our side, we are working seriously not to prolong the truce, but to reach a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire that will open the door for Yemeni-Yemeni political talks to end the conflict. This requires that the Houthis understand that the interest of Yemen is in peace, dialogue, and that the interest of Yemen comes in putting Yemen first, rather than regional agendas."

STORYLINE:
Saudi Arabia's top diplomat discussed Iran, war-torn Yemen and other regional issues at a press conference on Saturday that came after President Joe Biden's two-day visit to Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud said his country's hand remains "outstretched" to Iran and hopes to reach "normal relations" with its neighbour.
He was speaking to reporters on Saturday after a four-day visit by President Joe Biden to the region.
The visit included two days in Saudi Arabia where he met the Saudi crown prince and took part in a summit of regional leaders.
The Saudi foreign minister downplayed talk of normalisation with Israel after the kingdom opened its airspace to Israeli commercial flights.
"We hope that it will make some travellers' lives easier. It's not in any way precursor to any further steps," he said.
