Laurent Voulzy - Rockollection (En español - Spanish version)

I just recalled this song that was a smash hit in my country back in 1978 but sadly, it doesn't seem to have stood the test of time that well. In 1977, French musician Laurent Voulzy created this sort of medley that introduced me to some true classics at the time, when I was eleven. I already knew "A Hard Day's Night" and "Satisfaction", but the bits from "The Loco-Motion", "I Get Around", and "Massachusetts" among others, were my first encounter with those songs and I loved them! That's why I appreciate Mr. Voulzy's creation so much (I'm the proud owner of the original maxi-single). Here's a modest video I created just to accompany the music, with a little help from Sony Vegas Pro 8.0. Hope you enjoy it and get to know this cool tune if you never heard it before. The Spanish version clocks at 11:58, but I removed some repetitive instrumental parts just to make it YouTube compliant, so total length is 10:51 here.

Me acordé de esta canción que fue un superexitazo en mi país en 1978, pero que lastimosamente no parece haber resistido muy bien la prueba del tiempo. En 1977, el músico francés Laurent Voulzy creó esta especie de potpurrí que me mostró por primera vez varios clásicos en esa época, cuando tenía yo 11 años de edad. Ya conocía "A Hard Day's Night" y "Satisfaction", pero los pedacitos de "The Loco-Motion", "I Get Around" y "Massachusetts" entre otros, fueron mi primer encuentro con esas canciones y me encantaron! Es por eso que aprecio tanto la creación del señor Voulzy (Soy el orgulloso dueño del supersencillo original, por el que mi mamá pagó setenta pesos colombianos el 19 de Noviembre de 1978). Aquí podrán apreciar un modesto video que hice para acompañar la música, con una ayudita de Sony Vegas Pro 8.0. Espero que lo disfruten y conozcan esta bacana canción si no la habían escuchado antes. La versión en español dura 11:58, pero removí algunos fragmentos instrumentales repetitivos para que YouTube aceptara el video. La duración total entonces es de 10:51 aquí.
