White Sauce Recipe - Easy Bechamel Sauce

Béchamel, also known as white sauce, is one of the the classic French Mother sauces that form the basis of French cuisine. This white sauce recipe is so easy and quick to make and it requires only 3 ingredients. The foolproof way to attain a perfectly smooth and creamy white sauce is to watch this easy and step by step video.
Bechamel sauce is delicious with fish, pasta or vegetables. It's used in many dishes such as lasagna, moussaka, pasta, pizza, fish pie, chicken pie, creamy salmon, creamy soups and chowders, tuna mornay, gratins, croque-monsieur, cheese soufflé, mac and cheese, baked pasta and much more delicious recipes. To make Mornay Sauce, simply add grated cheese (Gruyere, Parmesan, Emmental ...) to your bechamel.

This traditional bechamel white sauce is also used as a base to make a variety of sauces such as mushroom sauce, cheese sauce, butter cream sauce, parsley sauce, veloute sauce, etc.
