Recently finished watching Heeramandi, an Indian Netflix series which I can best describe as "Game Of Thrones" meets "Memoirs of a Geisha". The series was a vibe in terms of aesthetics from the Tawaif (Indo-Islamic courtesan) culture, but was also equally unabashed and brutal in showing how they had to endure the hard times of British Raj.

For now, we start with one of the earliest scenes in the series - the lead character, Mallika Jaan in her youth, decided to give her not-so-loving older sister Rehana, a piece of her mind by erupting into a countdown that.....would be the last time she'd ever hear or see it happening.
