NJ Spotlight News: June 9, 2021

The campaign for the New Jersey governor’s race is officially underway! The candidates for the race are set, and it’s what was expected. Democrat Phil Murphy, who ran unopposed, will take on businessman and former Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli in the general election this November.

Wednesday, officials announced 197 new, positive cases and 14 new deaths. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 889,408 cases in the state and 26,316 confirmed and probable deaths.
