Bebe Neuwirth performed "Zip" in the City Center Encores! production of "Pal Joey" in 1995. She is portraying a reporter reminiscing about the time she interviewed Gypsy Rose Lee. Peter Gallagher in the title role looks on. Neuwirth would return to Encores! the following year for "Chicago," and the rest is history.
