DIY Tabletop Pinball Machine - Making solenoid powered flippers
In this four part mini series I show how to make a tabletop pinball machine with a digital scoring system and solenoid powered flippers.
This video covers the design process and installation of the flippers and the launcher mechanism. I wanted the flippers to be powered by solenoids just like the commercial pinball machines but I didn't want to use a standard bought mechanism. That's why I designed a simplified version of the flipper mechanism for this home DIY pinball machine.
There will be build plans available for this build that show you step by step how to build a pinball machine like this, they are not ready when the video airs but they wil be soon.
Check out the link below for the build plans and for more info about the build:

I know commercial pinball machines have mechanisms in place to avoid the solenoids from overheating but I have tested these solenoids and havent experienced any problems with it so far in the way I use them.
