Making a Tuba Hand-grip Wrap

Many players of the "German Rotary" design tubas have wished for a suitable hand-grip wrapping to protect their instrument(s) where they grip it. This can make for a more comfortable grip, and protect the instrument's finish from the effects of skin oils/acids.

In this video, I demonstrate how I have made a couple such grip wraps for two of my own tubas.

I have contacted Neotech (a division of the Op/Tech company), which already makes something similar for smaller brass instruments, to see if they might be interested in adding something like this to their product lineup .
