Spring Fling! 5 lb'ers on bluegill swimbaits - Featuring Real Prey 6.5" and Red Top Worms waking gil

Ahh, pre spawn...the holiest time of year for all reverent big bass pursuers. Senses are heightened. Reactions quickened. Each cast is a legitimate possibility of the biggest fish of you life. I literally get moderate anxiety as every single crank of the handle, on every cast, I'm on edge....waiting. Its like knowing a monster is going to POP out in a horror movie, but not knowing when. Well, they popped out today! While not absolute giants, these 'monsters' made the unofficial big bass threshold of 5lbs. A terrific first for me catching both a largemouth and smallmouth over that threshold in the same day. I used a number of lures this day, but it was the exceptional 6.5" Real Prey bluegill that the smallmouth could not resist. The largemouth had enough when she saw the Red Top worms waking gill. Both of these lures are superb in both form and function.
