Singapore Airlines SQ 322 Premium Economy Singapore to London on the Airbus A380 COVID Travel

We fly to London! Singapore Airlines SQ 322 (Airbus A380) in Premium Economy! This is my first ever experience on the SQ Premium Economy product. Very excited to try out this product on a long-haul flight!

For this video, I shall focus on the positives! So happy to be flying again after 2 years.

Our flight was scheduled for 2345hrs. We got to Changi Airport about 2 hours before the flight. Check in was smooth and easy. Changi Airport felt very sad and quiet. Many shops were shut. Hopefully air travel will pick up again.

Boarding was smooth and quick. I think the plane was at most half full. After boarding, we quickly settled down in our Premium Economy seats. The PE cabin is on the lower deck, front of the plane. The seats were in a 2-4-2 configuration (i.e. 10 seats abreast) as compared to 3-4-3 in the Economy cabin (12 seats abreast). The seat definitely felt wider than the Economy one (as you can see in the video), with more padding, plus calf rest and foot rest. I forgot to show the calf rest in my video. There was enough space in front of me to stretch out my legs fully.

After takeoff (which was past 4AM), supper was served. During online check-in, I had selected our supper choices from the inflight menu. I chose the Seafood Hor Fun, which was awesome! The 'wok hey' (smell of the frying work) can very discernible and I finished my main meal quite quickly. Service was prompt and efficient as passengers wanted to get to sleep quickly.

3 hours before landing, the cabin lights were turned on and the breakfast service commenced. Again, I had pre-booked my main meal and this time, I chose Nasi Lemak! It was awesome. Very good breakfast and thoroughly enjoyable with 2 cups of black freshly brewed coffee. Service was good.

Landed safely in Heathrow, albeit more than 4 hours late. Grateful to have the chance to fly again. It was awesome and so glad to be flying Singapore Airlines! Thank you for watching!

Post landing, we took a quick bite at Cafe Nero (Terminal 2 arrivals) to refresh and recharge.
Thereafter, we went to SIXT to pick up our rental car.
Then we drove to the Randox testing site at Heathrow (located in the carpark behind Hotel Radisson Blu) to complete our Day 2 PCR tests. These tests had to be pre-booked before arrival in UK. Everything went smoothly.

Once that was done, we started our drive to Bristol!
