Extreme Stellar Machine #Shorts

The young universe was a firestorm of star formation, and nowhere is this more evident than the Baby Boom Galaxy, lying 12.5 billion light years from Earth, in the constellation Sextans. Discovered in 2008, this galaxy is producing stars at a staggering rate of 4,000 per year, which equates to 11 stars daily, more than the entire annual yield (10 stars) of the Milky Way Galaxy.
