We booked an excursion through Moana Tours Moorea; they picked us up on the shores of the beach and we were on our way.

Before we even spotted a humpback whale, we could hear them singing beneath us. It was magical.

Then, after waiting and searching for what seemed to be forevever, we were safely able to hop in the water and spend some time swimming next to these gentle giants. We saw a mom and baby humpback whale; the baby was so playful and fun. Mom was on high alert just in case there was any danger around.

If you have the opportunity to swim with humpback whales while in French Polynesia, don't hesitate. You will never forget it!
