Preventing Oxidation On Boat Gel Coat[How Pros Do It!]

Keeping boat gel coat from oxidizing requires more than just waxing. Gelcoats best defense against UV rays is to reflect them away rather than absorbing them. The key to this is to keep the gelcoat itself as glossy as possible by regularly polishing the gelcoat then waxing it!

IMPOTANT NOTE - the gelcoat needs to be completely free off oxidation before you polish. If you have oxidation check out my video on Oxidation Removal and follow the steps there first before you begin a polishing and waxing maintenance program.
