Emotional Support Animals

Buyer beware of the ESA, websites popping up all over. If you are planning to get a pet for Emotional Support, please listen to my experience. In my opinion, I don't think anyone should go to a website, answer a few questions and pay money for a piece of paper that says you have an Emotional Support Animal. Hear me out, you don't go to a therapist. you don't even believe anything is wrong with you, but suddenly you need proof of needing an Emotional Support Animal?! You're going to pay to answer questions and get some certified paper saying your pet is certified ESA. MOST folks have $60-$100 or more for that. However, it doesn't prove anything. This is not a TREND, even though it is vastly becoming more and more popular. Mostly so you can keep your pet, and not pay a fee for places you are renting. I got my letter from my therapist. We talked about it several times before she wrote a letter. Cities and States vary on their policies and laws, so make sure you do research. Make sure it is legal in your area. [ Some where I was talking about 2003 taking myself off all 3 psych.drugs, correction 4! 4 Psych.Drugs I don't suggest anyone to take yourself off any meds. without help. I took a risk, but I knew what I was doing, I was not alone, however, I did go through a night of hell. But I will never take pills for Emotional reasons. Our minds are not located in our brains and are not affected by the pills. The pills do more damage than good. ]
