Kaoru Ishibashi (a/k/a Kishi Bashi) plays "Philosophize In It! Chemicalize With It!" live in concert at the Fillmore in San Francisco, California on October 21, 2016, as part of the Sonderlust concert tour. This song originally appeared on his 2014 album Lighght (pronounced Light) on the Joyful Noise Recordings label.

Born in Seattle and growing up in Virginia, Kishi Bashi is known for his collaborations with Regina Spektor and the band Of Montreal, co-founding the indie rock band Jupiter One, and his virtuosic violin playing. Like Andrew Bird, KT Tunstall, and Zoë Keating, he uses pedal-based looping machines to create complex multilayered instrumental and vocal backgrounds when he performs live.
