Benefits of Using a Buffer

A buffer is used to solve impedance mismatch between the instrument and the device it is connected. An impedance mismatch will drop the voltage of the instrument being sent to the device (like an effects box, stomp box, etc.), or it will make the instrument sound muddy.

I cover the circuit, provide a layout using perf board and cover a few common building mistakes.
