Vancouver's Millennium Line SkyTrain from Lafarge Lake-Douglas to VCC-Clark (and a Hail Storm!)

May 3, 2020 - Welcome to the Millennium Line, the second line built in Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit network. Completed in 2002 - shortly after the dawning of the new millennium, the Millennium Line was an alternate route between Vancouver and New Westminster, which largely followed Lougheed Highway through Burnaby.

In 2016, the Millennium Line was re-routed and extended along the Evergreen Extension, connecting Lougheed Town Centre to the northest sector of Metro Vancouver - Port Moody and Coquitlam, including a tunnel under the slopes of Burnaby mountain, the longest stationless tunnel in the entire SkyTrain network.

In the coming years, the Millennium Line will be extended west, in two phases, to UBC. This is the next new segment of track being build in Metro Vancouver.
