Maritime of My Life (Pt. 91) - Wicked Awesome 24 Hours in New England

July 14, 2017 - By the time I got into Portland, Maine this afternoon, I was absolutely zonked.

Portland is a delightful mid-sized city - and being here you really know you're in New England, a very distinct and, ahem, wicked awesome part of the United States. It's a shame I'm just blitzing through here in 24 hours, but I always promised myself that Boston and the nearby vicinity of New England would be its own trip one day.

So, what to do? Let's just rip the local sports teams. Boston, the hub of New England, is one of the best sports towns in the United States, and each of their big four teams has a recent championship (or multiple) in the past decade to back that up - so they could use a little playful ribbing, right?

It would've been fun to be at Fenway Park for the televised Red Sox/Yankees bout tonight...next time!
