Why French People Don’t Tend to Eat Like Tourists
Why do restaurants close in the afternoon? Are French waiters being rude? I’ll explain these differences as I teach you new French vocabulary.

If you’ve ever visited France, you may have noticed that our eating habits are a little bit different than in other places in the world. It’s something I’ve covered across various videos before. But today, I want to specifically talk about the ways that French people eat, and how it’s so different from the way that some tourists eat when visiting our country.
In the episode, with a presentation that is entirely in French, I’ll touch on everything from when French people eat (it has little to do with when we’re actually hungry) to how we interact with our servers. And I’ll teach you some new French vocabulary along the way!
Tell me in the comments: did you learn anything new about French culture from today’s lesson? Have you experienced any of these differences for yourself?
Take care and stay safe.
😘 from Grenoble, France.
