KL's Petaling Street No More?

During normal times Kl's Petaling Street in the heart of Chinatown is crowded and filled with an orgasm of lights, sounds and scents in the air. Unfortunately, the pandemic movement control have made this legendary world famous street a street of silence beyond imagination. Take a look at this video and you will see a different side of Petaling Street. It seems strange as if aliens have abducted everyone, including the shop owners. It looks deserted and devoid of life. Gone are the tourists, even the locals. Even when the Chinese New Year is around the corner, the streets are not as they used to be. Stalls have closed, shops have shuttered and the remaining businesses are surviving the hard times. Surely, this time around the new year celebration mood is not happening. We hope the new year will bring some cheers and crowds to revive the awesome ambience that is unique to Malaysia.
