Please do not register a Pvt Ltd to start a business...

A private limited company should only be started when you want to raise external capital from Angels, VCs or external investors.

Bootstrapped or service businesses have better entity types to do business in.

👉🏼 A partnership firm is one of the easiest types to set up, operate and shut down.

And contrary to popular belief, I have clients who are running businesses with over Rs 2000 crores in top line as a partnership.

They have all insurance policies in place to cover the risks and liabilities…

But the greatest benefit of a partnership is financial secrecy.

A random person cannot pay Rs 100 on the MCA website to download your financial statements.

The secrecy it maintains for a private business is phenomenal.

👉🏼 If you want greater legitimacy and in your business, there aren’t insurances and other instruments to cover your risk types, then register an LLP to safeguard your personal assets against business losses.

👉🏼 As you grow, you can convert a partnership to an LLP or to a Private Limited and Limited, when the need arises.
