Star Citizen: G-SAFE Test. Is it broken?

Everyone has been telling me that turning off G-SAFE will allow you to turn faster, but does it really? And if it is, is it worth the blackout?

This test was done in the Aurora Trainer, with the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick.
