Temple Bells - The sound of bells is suppose to replicate the fundamental sound, as believed by the Hindus of the world, which is "OM" ,(ॐ , औं, auṃ). When the bell rings, the sound originates and then slowly vanishes into eternity. It is suppose to symbolize and remind every devotee that the reality has three stages of evolution ( srishti , stithi & laya) meaning creation, preservation & destruction ). According to Agama Sashtra, the bell ringing us to ward of evil spirits.
