Recipe | Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings | Korean Chicken | By: Chef Mheng
Ingredients
Chicken Marinade
1 kilo Chicken Wings
10 cloves minced garlic
1/2 tsp minced ginger
1/4 cup Mirin
1/2 Tbsp salt
1/2 Tbsp pepper
(Procedure: Mix all together & marinate for 3 hours in chiller)
Batter Mixture
1 cup Tempura Powder
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/8 cup water
(Procedure: Mix all together to coat the chicken. Then add the 1/8 cup water)
(Procedure: Double fry the chicken until golden brown)
Sweet and Spicy Sauce
4 cloves minced garlic
1/8 cup soy sauce
1/8 cup honey
1/2 Tbsp mustard
1 Tbsp Sake or white wine or Tanduay Rum
1 Tbsp Red Korean paste
1/2 Tbsp Apple Cider vinegar or white vinegar
2 tsp Sugar
(Procedure: Mix all together in a wok or pan. Bring to a simmer. Then toss in the chicken.)
