Sukhothai was the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Siam and it has immense history. The hotel is located a couple kilometers from the entrance of the official historical park, but there’s even some ruins right next to the hotel. The Siamese Kingdom stretched far over a large area, and so there are some ancient temples and stupas right next to the hotel. I loved the setting, the local Sukhothai Thai architecture, and the views of the palmyra palm trees and rice paddy fields from the rooms and the swimming pool.

Without a doubt, one of the highlights of your stay at Sriwilai Sukhothai Resort & Spa in Sukhothai will be the swimming pool, which is huge, and overlooks the fields and some ruins. An incredibly nice setting and atmosphere!

Finally, to end this hotel tour, we went to breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was good, but simple. I did really like the display, served on a traditional khantoke style basket to eat from. I'm not sure if they would normally have had a buffet - but we stayed after the lockdown, so there were some different safety measured in place.

Overall, we had an amazing stay at the hotel, loved the room, the swimming pool, and the spectacular atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Price - We paid 2,500 THB ($80.88) per night, including breakfast - This was a bit of a special deal though I believe because the hotel had recently re-opened after the lockdown. I think this was a very good value.
