As of recently Thailand has re-opened most businesses, restaurants, malls, and now hotels. So my wife, son, and I wanted to get away from Bangkok for a day. We drove just south of Bangkok about 1.5 hours to Pattaya, a famous seaside city in Thailand. Just south of Pattaya, but still considered part of Pattaya is Bang Saray (บางเสร่), much more quiet and relaxed than the center of Pattaya. #Pattaya #Thailand #hotel

Bang Saray Seafood (ร้านอาหาร บางเสร่ ซีฟู้ด) - But first things - before checking into the hotel, we stopped for some Thai food at Bang Saray Seafood (ร้านอาหาร บางเสร่ ซีฟู้ด). The restaurant was nice, overlooking the pier and fishing boats.

Kept Bang Saray Hotel Pattaya (https://g.page/keptbangsaray?share) - My wife booked this hotel for one night, I didn’t even know anything about it before arriving. Turned out to be a great small boutique hotel, right along the water. Staff were friendly and helpful, there were plenty of social distancing and hygiene measures in place. And she booked the room with a private swimming pool overlooking the hotel. It was quite a cool room, and we had a lot of fun splashing around in the water. Breakfast in the morning was also great, a buffet with vegetables, and a full array of pre-cooked Thai food in the morning. One things to note about this hotel in Pattaya is that it’s on the sea, but it’s not really a swimming beach. Price - 7,300 THB ($231.51) per night, for the room we had. There are other room options as well.

It was a great short trip, and nice to get out of Bangkok with hotels re-opening and tourism opening back up domestically in Thailand.
